Have a story to tell
“It’s not too late at all. You just don’t yet know what you are capable of.” – Mahatma Gandi
I grew up in West Sacramento and always thought I wanted to become an Olympic swimmer. I started swimming at the age of 3 and it was a staple in my life. I have always been fascinated with the human body; its performance capabilities, its capacity for healing and its autonomic functions. I was also very artsy growing up, so I received my Bachelor’s degree from UC, Davis in Studio Arts along with my pre-requisites in health sciences and had the incredible opportunity to swim for the University. Once I realized my heart wasn’t in an elite athletic career, my passion in life took a much different turn.
Deep down I always felt a calling to serve others. I was not sure which route to take, so I started exploring different career paths, that is when Chiropractic came onto the table. My family physician always referred to chiropractors and their services where used in sports, so I decided to see if that was the right path for me. Around that same time, my now husband, Austin, who is also a Chiropractor, had just started his schooling at our Alma Matter, Life Chiropractic College, West in the Bay Area. His care and love for others inspires me every day and he helps me be the best version of myself.
be your own hero
I’m a holistic chiropractor who believes in the body’s innate wisdom for healing. My focus is in women’s health, fertility, pre/perinatal, postpartum, pediatric and whole family wellness. In graduate school, I worked under a pre/perinatal and pediatric chiropractor for 3 years and developed a passion for serving families. After receiving my doctorate in chiropractic at Life Chiropractic College West, I went on to pursue further education for pregnancy, postpartum and pediatric care and am certified in the Webster Technique through the International Pediatric Chiropractic Association (ICPA) where I am also currently working towards my diplomate in this field. I have worked with many women throughout their pregnancy, families and my youngest patient so far has been one week old.
In my approach to care, I see the body as dynamic and ever-changing, continuously adapting to its needs and surrounding environment. In addition, I understand there is an innate intelligence within the body designed to heal itself and that every system coordinates their functions together in a harmonious and delicate dance. The purpose of chiropractic care is not to treat conditions or disease; rather, its purpose is the restoration of the body’s natural function. My approach to care works with the nervous system to help bring the body back into balance by using gentle, specific spinal adjustments. My goal is to create a safe space where families feel truly supported, seen and heard. I believe your support team shouldn’t end once baby comes and hope to help you feel empowered to be an active participant in your own health and healing journey.

When we rely on others to do the healing for us, we will always fall short. When we aren’t 100% certain and invested in our own unique story, we tend to not progress the way we want to. Which, in most cases, leads to anger, resentment, disappointment and frustration, ultimately creating an unattainable goal. My mission and what I am so passionate about is helping you not need me. I know that sounds crazy, but I want you to be inspired and empowered to be your own advocate. To learn the specifics of your body and what it needs. It isn’t in a protocol, therapy, essential oil, supplement, surgery or care plan any one sells to you. Can these be tools we utilize? Absolutely. However, here’s our reframe: it is, and has always been, within you. Get ready to rediscover your innate wisdom and just how powerful you are.
